Why a car

None of these airports is easy by rail from here: you cross London with your bags. Early departures, common on budget routes, make it harder still. A car from your door avoids the changes.

Booking

These runs are long, so book as far ahead as you can. Give the airport, terminal where relevant, flight time, passengers and luggage. Let the firm set the pick-up time, ask whether the price is fixed, and agree how the return will work if your flight is delayed.
