Bin-day checks, journey planning and cleaning handovers

Check your own bin day
There is no single bin day for Petersfield. East Hampshire District Council collects by address, so neighbouring streets can have different days. The council's November 2026 to October 2027 bin calendars are now available. Check the current calendar for your address. What goes in each bin, and what to do if a bin is missed.
Booking a car for a journey
For a pre-booked private-hire journey, contact the operator before you travel. Before you book, have ready your pick-up address and destination, the date and time, how many passengers and how much luggage, and whether you need a return journey. Ask for the price to be confirmed and what it includes. If you need a wheelchair-accessible vehicle or a child seat, say so when you book. Local firms, listed from their own websites and unranked.
Handing back a rented home
Before booking an end of tenancy clean, find your check-in inventory and photos, and ask your landlord or letting agent which tasks they expect and when the checkout inspection is. Give each cleaner the same description of the property, agree the task list and quote in writing, and settle how the cleaner will get in and when the keys come back. Book the clean for after your belongings are out, with time to spare before the inspection. Read the questions to ask.
