Our rankings are set by public Google ratings and review counts. Paying never changes a ranking; a paid placement is always a separate box labelled “Sponsored”.
A new drive is a big job to get right, and most of the firms that lay them travel. Here are the driveway, paving and surfacing firms that cover Petersfield, ranked on what their customers say on Google.
One thing to know first: when we checked on 10 October 2026, Google Maps showed no dedicated driveway or paving contractor with a Petersfield-area address (GU31, GU32 and GU33). The firms that come up for a driveway search here are based in the towns around. So this list is the 10 firms that Google returns for driveway searches in Petersfield, Sheet, Liss, Steep and Buriton and whose own website names Petersfield as a place they cover. We say where each one is based.
For each one we pulled the live Google rating and review count, and the things customers mention most in their reviews. Every number is correct at the time of writing (10 October 2026).
How we ranked them: highest Google star rating first, with ties broken by number of reviews. Firms with fewer than 20 reviews go after the rest, because a handful of five-star reviews isn’t a fair comparison with a hundred.

The verdict
Test Valley Driveways is the highest-rated driveway firm covering Petersfield (5.0 stars from 105 Google reviews). It is based in Southampton, Hampshire, not in Petersfield. Apollo Surfacing (Basingstoke, Hampshire) is next, with 5.0 from 25. 4 more have fewer than 20 reviews, which is a thinner base, so we list them after the rest. The ratings are for each firm’s work overall, wherever it was done, not for jobs in Petersfield alone. Whoever you pick, get two or three written quotes and ask to see a drive they laid nearby a few years ago.

How we ranked them
1. Which firms: driveway, paving and surfacing contractors that Google Maps returned for driveway, block paving, resin and tarmac searches in Petersfield, Sheet, Liss, Steep and Buriton on 10 October 2026, and whose own website names Petersfield as an area they cover. The page we read for each firm is linked in its entry.
2. Left out: firms whose websites don’t mention Petersfield, firms with no website we could check, landscapers and builders who aren’t mainly driveway firms, and suppliers. Being left out is not a judgement on anyone’s work.
3. Order: Google star rating, highest first, with ties broken by review count. Firms with fewer than 20 reviews are listed after the rest.
4. “Mentioned in X reviews”: these counts come from the review topics Google shows on each listing. We haven’t picked or edited them.
5. We don’t quote prices, and we don’t list accreditations or guarantees, because we haven’t checked them. Ask the firm.
6. Nobody paid to be on this list, and nobody can pay to move up it.
