Our rankings are set by public Google ratings and review counts. Paying never changes a ranking; a paid placement is always a separate box labelled “Sponsored”.
Moving house, making a will or something harder. Here are the solicitors Petersfield’s clients rate most.
We found 6 solicitors and law firms with a Petersfield-area postcode, across the town centre, Sheet, Steep, Buriton and Liss. For each one we pulled the live Google rating and review count, and the things customers mention most in their reviews. Every number is correct at the time of writing (5 October 2026).
How we ranked them: highest Google star rating first, with ties broken by number of reviews. Places with fewer than 20 reviews go after the rest, because a handful of five-star reviews isn’t a fair comparison with hundreds.

The verdict
K J Smith Solicitors is the highest-rated solicitor around Petersfield (5.0 stars from 20 Google reviews). MacDonald Oates Solicitors is next (4.4 from 23). Burley Geach Solicitors LLP has the most reviews of any solicitor here (33, averaging 4.3 stars). 1 more has a rating as high or higher from fewer than 20 reviews, which is a thinner base, so we list it after the rest. A rating reflects how clients felt about the service. For your own matter, ask about fees up front and check the firm on the Law Society’s “Find a Solicitor” register.
