Southampton Cruise Terminals: Addresses, Dock Gates and Taxi Drop-Off

Ocean, Mayflower, City, QEII or Horizon: your cruise documents name one, and the driver needs the right dock gate. Here is what the port operator publishes for each, and how taxi drop-off works.

Southampton has five cruise terminals: Ocean and QEII in the Eastern Docks (Dock Gate 4) and Mayflower, City and Horizon in the Western Docks. The port operator, ABP, says private taxis can drop off directly outside each terminal. From Petersfield and nearby villages, TwentyFour7Cars (Sponsored member, 07961 609455) lists Southampton cruise transfers.

The five terminals

Associated British Ports (ABP), which runs the port, publishes a directions sheet for each terminal. The addresses below are as ABP prints them. Your cruise line sets the terminal for your sailing and can change it, so check your documents in the days before you travel.

The table further down this page sets out each terminal's address and entrance.

For Mayflower, use the postcode on your cruise documents. ABP's printed postcode for it carries a typing error.

Taxi drop-off

ABP's directions for every terminal say private taxis can drop off directly outside, and that there is a taxi rank outside each terminal too. There is also a passenger drop-off area and a short-stay car park at each one. The bag drop is outside; you then go in to check in and through security.

When to arrive

ABP asks passengers to arrive at their allocated arrival time. Give that time to your driver, not the sailing time, and let the firm work out the pick-up from it.

Booking a car from East Hampshire

TwentyFour7Cars says it specialises in taking passengers from Petersfield to Southampton Docks and arranges return pick-ups when the ship comes back in. It says it tracks cruise arrivals, helps with loading luggage, and has an eight-seater minibus for families and groups. Guides by starting point: Petersfield · Liphook · Liss · Haslemere · Midhurst · Alton · Bordon · Clanfield.
