The Petersfield Bookshop: second-hand and antiquarian browsing
At 16a Chapel Street, GU32 3DS, this is the choice for browsing second-hand and antiquarian books. Its official site provides online buying links and a route to sell books to the shop. If you need a particular edition, call 01730 263438 before travelling; browsing shelves does not guarantee a title is in stock. The shop also advertises literary and community events, so check its current programme rather than assuming an event is on during your visit.

One Tree Books: new books and a café stop
At 7 Lavant Street, GU32 3EL, One Tree Books is an independent bookshop with Ginger's café. Its official website says it can order books that are not on its shelves and links to online ordering. That makes it a useful first stop if you want a new title or a coffee alongside your browse. Call 01730 261199 to ask about a book or visit arrangements; check the café's own published hours separately from the bookshop's.

Make a town-centre visit of it
Both shops are in the centre, on different streets. Combine them if you want to compare new and second-hand books, leaving time for a café stop rather than treating the shops as interchangeable.
